Alright nerds, earn your cred with this bit of triva: What Marvel hero is celebrating his 35th Anniversary this April?

Any guesses?

Anyone?

Ok, It’s Wolverine.  And sure, while he doesn’t need the exposure, what with the movie and being in basically every comic anyway, Marvel has launched a really cool way to celebrate this anniversary.

How? Through the time honored tradition of variant covers. But not just any variant covers, they’re ones that show Logan as interpreted in various art styles.  Sounds wacky, but it turned out awesome, like the Van Gogh style Wolvie above.

My only complaint? The odd mix of titles this is being done on…check the list:

AGENTS OF ATLAS #3

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #590

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #592

CAPTAIN BRITAIN AND MI13 #12

DAREDEVIL #118

EXILES #1

GHOST RIDER #34

HULK #11

INCREDIBLE HERCULES #128

MOON KNIGHT #29

MS. MARVEL #38

RUNAWAYS #9

SECRET WARRIORS #3

UNCANNY X-MEN #508

WAR MACHINE #5

WOLVERINE: FIRST CLASS #14

X-MEN: LEGACY #223

Like…4 of those titles feature Wolverine, max.  Why couldn’t we have gotten a sweet art book, instead?  I guess they’re using it to highlight some less read titles, but ultimately, what an odd idea.
