New TONY HAWK Game Continues To Fill Your Room With Fake Plastic Things
Well, this should come as no surprise.
Activision loves to sell games with “must-have” controllers.
And…Activision looooooves to run their money making franchises into the ground with sequel after sequel.
So it doesn’t shock me in the least to see that the 13th Tony Hawk title is played with the use of a fake, plastic skateboard.
Tony Hawk Ride, as it’s titled, is scheduled to be shown off at E3 later this month. Due to hit the PS3, 360 and Wii, it’ll cost at least $100 to get your game on. Add probably another $60 for a second controller.
For those counting at home, this leaves only the Call of Duty and World of Warcraft games as the Activision franchises without fake controllers. Personally, I’m hoping for a mini game where you can shred with your Guitar Hero controller while skating around wherever. Teach kids that they can’t do two things at once.
Personally, I miss the days of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, which is probably one of my most played games in the PSOne era. Good times, that game.
