AVATAR Goes Viral With AVTR
Alright, so we’re just under 3 months until James Cameron’s 3D-CGI epic Avatar hits screens, and shy of a teaser trailer and a 15 minute screening that left most people undecided on whether the movie is worth a rumored $300 million (I dug it, but anyway) we’ve yet to really get anything more.
Enter viral marketing!
The first of hopefully many viral sites for Avatar hit today in the form of AVTR: Future Artifacts From The World of Pandora. This site, chock full of videos and concept art, is designed to get the viewer accustomed to the alien planet of Pandora, the location for the film.
Now, before you look at it’s serene jungles and lush landscapes and think it’s safe, you get a video message from Colonel Quaritch (actor Stephen Lang, the dude with the sweet scars), where he warns you of the dangers with in.
So be wary, and be ready, and check out the world of Pandora!
