IronManTonyStark(MechTestVersion)_PR17-550x

So of course, as can be seen here at Blast-O-Rama, we nerds are in the midst of Iron Man 2 fever, quickly devouring every bit of shellhead related media possible.

In this instance, it’s really easy to lose sight of how awesome Iron Man 1 was, even if it winds up being the X-Men to Iron Man 2’s X2: X-Men United.  Reminding us of one of the best moments of the film is this latest 1:12 scale collectible (not doll) from the amazing team at Hot Toys.

Hot Toys, if you’ll recall, did the super amazing Batman and Joker figurines I featured in the past, and now having the IM license, have outdone themselves with their latest release, Mech Test Version Tony Stark.

Aside from featuring screen accurate costuming and accessories, they went the extra mile, including a lab backdrop for Tony, a flight stand, and what is super rad, a scaled version of JARVIS’s mechanical assist arm.

God only knows how much this will cost when it releases (the Batman and Joker figures referenced above cost about $200), but it sure is nice to look at, right? A full gallery is below.
