Spoken of in hushed tones and eventually loud gags, Duke Nukem Forever is possibly the most well known video game to never officially exist.

Since the announcement of it’s arrival in the mid 90s, to the final killing of the project by 3D Realms last year, Duke Nukem Forever is a shining example of what not to do while building a video game, and now, the beloved tech mag Wired has written the definitive piece on where and how everything went wrong.
