One of the more interesting movies set for release later this year is David Fincher’s adaptation of the novel The Social Network.

Due this fall, the film is the story of how everyone’s favorite (or least favorite) social network, Facebook, came to be.  Starring Zombieland’s Jesse Eisenberg as Marc Zuckerberg, the founder of the infamous site full of everyone’s life info, it sounds pretty intriguing, especially with Fincher directing and a script from Aaron Sorkin.  Shortly put, it’s going to have my butt in a seat, no matter what the topic was.

But how will they get other folks into the theaters? If this poster is any indication, a rather unique marketing plan.

I absolutely love this first poster. Kinda unsettling, kinda creepy and putting Eisenberg’s face right up front, you already get a feel for the flick.

I do wonder if Facebook is going to sue over that sidebar though…

The Social Network hits theaters on October 1st.
