It seems that every day there is news about the next possible Marvel franchise, and one of the first names mentioned is Doctor Strange.

If Doctor Strange is going to be the next character to hit the silver screen, Marvel Studios & Disney are certainly setting up his next steps, by hiring screenwriters to produce a new draft of a Doctor Strange film.

The scribes of Conan (heh, funny timing) Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer were given the gig today, but they are no strangers to the Marvel Studios family, as they did the first draft on Cowboys and Aliens, Jon Favreau’s next project.

No other details are known at this time, but considering he’s no longer tied up with The Hobbit, I’d love to see Guillermo Del Toro direct this. Granted, I’d see the man direct an empty room, but I think his mixture of fantastical fantasy and gloomy horror would be great for the adventures of Stephen Strange.
