A LEGO Movie? No, really, it could work!

I know, I say there’s going to be a LEGO movie, and the first thought is all the cruddy adaptations of popular kids toys or cartoons rushed to the screen these days.
But what if I told you it was being done by Phil Lord and Chris Miller?
Names not ringing a bell?
What if I told you they were the team that made Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, which should’ve been terrible, so damn fun? What if I told you they took How I Met Your Mother, which should’ve been another waste of a CBS sitcom, and made it what it is today, arguably the first sitcom for the 21st century set? And most importantly, what if I told you they were the architects behind the most underrated cartoon ever, MTV’s Clone High?!
Excited? DAMN RIGHT I AM.
Taking one of my all time favorite toys as a child, and throwing them into a film which is supposed to be a mixture of live action and animation, this LEGO movie may just work out.
Sure, this is the same planet where writers from The State are responsible for the dull as dishwater Night at the Museum series, but I hold faith for Lord & Miller.
Honestly, when did LEGO let you down?
