You know, I think I've officially come to a realization - when it comes to artistic realizations of films, the internet does a way better job of creating iconic or lasting images for posters than the actual artists (or more likely, marketing committees) which create them.

The topic of this post, the stunning poster for Moon created by artist extraordinaire Kevin Tong, is another prime example of this theory of mine.

An Oversized 24x36 print, this poster is part of AllCity Media’s Redrawn series, where different artists present their takes on films that AllCity Media (a marketing firm) worked on.  As Moon is one of my favorite movies, currently, I’m understandably attracted to this print.

If you think this is a poster that you’d be interested, keep an eye on Kevin Tong’s website, as the poster will be going on sale sometime tomorrow after 12pm PST for $45, which I think is a steal.
