I feel weird saying it, but the movie I’m most excited for this fall (right now, at least) is The Social Network.

I know, I know, it’s “the Facebook movie”, but with the astonishing teaser trailers released so far, David Fincher behind the camera, and an Aaron Sorkin script, I’ve been on edge for it’s release.

And now, with the first tastes of Trent Reznor’s score for the film, the picture becomes a bit clearer of how unique a film this will be.

Alongside the announcement of pre-orders for the soundtrack in CD, MP3, Vinyl and 5.1 Blu-Ray format, Trent Reznor released a 5-track EP from the score for free, which can be yours with the oh-so-easy submission of your e-mail address.

It should come as no surprise that this is a quieter, more sparse score, but it’s definitely Reznor work, and I look forward to taking it in as a whole.
