Based on the revered mini-series by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely, All Star Superman is the next direct to DVD DC Animated feature.

Reducing the twelve issue series to an 80 minute film is no easy task, but with a voice cast including Anthony LaPaglia as Superman and (hubba-hubba) Christina Hendricks as Lois Lane, they’re off to a good start.  My one complaint so far is that the art style isn’t really grabbing the Quitely look, but that’d probably be very expensive to correctly emulate.

All Star Superman hits store shelves on February 22, 2011.
