I don’t know about you, but I was always fascinated as a kid whenever the TV show or movie I was watching was set where I lived.  There’s something about the combination of this fictional tale with a location you know so well which just draws your attention closer.  It’s probably half of why I loved Homicide: Life on the Streets so much.

But is there a movie for every state in the US?

That was the idea behind the above graphic, designed by reddit user subtonix, giving us the United States of Movies.

Pretty awesome, right?

Well, with everything on the web, someone has to out do someone else.

Are there any particular snubs in each map that you’d think be more appropriate? I think they both hit the nail on the head, but I’m sure given enough time, we’ll see more detailed maps splitting it up by cities.
