By now, you should know the deal.

Mondo is the awesome merchandising wing of super theater chain The Alamo Drafthouse. They make cool, limited run merchandise, most particularly posters and prints, for different films.  Their most well known line is that of Star Wars based posters.

And holy crap, the past few weeks have been amazing.

Friday, November 12th brought the above print, “Attack Position” by Rich Kelly, featuring Chewbacca battling a group of Stormtroopers.

The next week, November 19th, brought “A Wretched Hive” by Martin Ansin, a print showcasing the memorable scuffle in the Cantina in Dagobah.

But this week might be the most stunning print yet.

Drawn by Blast-O-Rama favorite Kevin Tong, “A Linch Pin Droid” goes on sale this Friday, November 26th, and is an absolutely beautiful “exploded” style print of everyone’s favorite robot, R2D2.

The print is absolutely stunning on it’s own, but what is really amazing is the work that went into it, cataloged extensively by Kevin Tong on his blog.

If you really want to appreciate how much work goes into these prints, there is no better way than this post.

“A Linch Pin Droid” is limited to 400 prints, at 24x36 in size. To find out when exactly on Friday they go on sale, follow Mondo on Twitter at @MondoNews.
