Hands down, one of my favorite albums this year is Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs.

I didn’t think it was possible for them to properly follow up Funeral and Neon Bible, but yet they handed in the third in what will no doubt be looked back on a series of some of the greatest albums ever written.

Anyway, with the release of their new single, the title track “The Suburbs” comes a video.

But not just any video, oh no.

It’s the music video return of amazing director Spike Jonze, more recently known for his theatrical adaptation of Where The Wild Things Are.

Unsurprisingly, the combination has made for a great video.  Apparently part of a short film Jonze directed, it starts off innocent enough, but changes dramatically.

That’s all I’ll say. Click play, and get ready for great music and great imagery.
