Much like with movies, many games never see the light of day.

Amazing projects put together by very talented people, but measured even at the last minute as not really cutting it, there are dozens, if not hundreds or thousands of games lost to the ether.

One such game was the Electronic Arts title codenamed LMNO.

Spearheaded by producer Steven Spielberg, LMNO was to be the second game for EA overseen by the star director following Boom Blox for the Wii, which itself was codenamed PQRS.

But in 2005, LMNO was the title that a team of talented artists and programmers were looking to make come to life.  The concept was gutsy, to say the least. A mix of first-person parkour movement with adventure/RPG objectives and escape-focused gameplay, it was to be based around the player’s relationship with an alien-looking character named Eve.

In the article linked below, you get to see how such a promising title by such talented people fell apart.  But not without seeing what could’ve been.

The alien you see above is Eve, and her tale is if nothing else an interesting one.

If you have any interest in gaming, or how games are created, you owe it to yourself to read the linked article below.

In the meantime, here’s a look at the game that may’ve been.
