Hands down, one of my favorite film discoveries of 2009 was Moon, an absolutely fantastic sci-fi film directed by Duncan Jones.

The film debut of Jones, he immediately set a tone for his films moving forward.  His next project has finally been unveiled, and it’s another unconventional sci-fi film.

Titled Source Code, the movie stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a solider who is forced to constantly relive the last 8 minutes of a train bombing, in the effort to discover how the bombing occurred, and who caused it.

It’s a very violent version of Groundhog Day, and the film looks pretty great so far.

Not due to hit theaters until April 15, 2011, color this one of my most anticipated movies of next year.

What say you about Source Code?
