Heroes, Villains and Robots, In Minimalist Form
As always, I love art that takes well known pop culture icons and subverts them in ways previously unseen.
While I can’t say this guy is the first do to this type of art, when it comes to minimal versions of iconic heroes and villains, I don’t think there’s anyone more minimal than Fabian Glez.
Thus far, his series of minimal art has extended to three pieces, one of popular comic book heroes, one of comic book villains, and finally heroic or friendly robots.
The real fun of this art is that you can play a guessing game as to who each square is, and there’s an answer key right on the Flickr page (linked below).
If you like this art enough, you can even support Fabian directly, and buy it as an art print, T-Shirt or hoodie.
Now let’s see how he follows it up!
