One of the movies I’m most looking forward to this Spring is Zach Snyder’s Sucker Punch.

As we get closer and closer to release, however, it looks like if you aren’t ready for a pure, unfettered look at EVERYTHING that Snyder loves, Sucker Punch might not be the movie for you.  If the robots, samurais, dragons and hot girls weren’t enough, Snyder also has been able to exact his World War II fetish.

With the latest batch of character posters, the fine ladies of the film have been turned into 40’s era propaganda.  Something tells me that these posters will be the Farrah Fawcett posters for the millennials, turning young boys into men.

One of the posters is above, the rest are in a gallery below.

If that isn’t enough, according to a post from HitFix.com, Sucker Punch will also have a taste of Moulin Rouge, with the movie having a number of anachronistic musical numbers.

What’s going to be on the soundtrack? Here ya go!

1.   “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)" - Emily Browning
  1.   “Army Of Me (Sucker Punch Remix)“  - BjÁ¶rk featuring Skunk Anansie

  2.   “White Rabbit" - Emiliana Torrini

  3.   “I Want It All"/“We Will Rock You" Mash-Up - Queen with Armageddon Aka Geddy

  4.   “Search And Destroy" - Skunk Anansie

  5.   “Tomorrow Never Knows" - Alison Mosshart and Carla Azar

  6.   “Where Is My Mind?“ - Yoav featuring Emily Browning

  7.   “Asleep" - Emily Browning

  8.   “Love Is The Drug" - Carla Gugino and Oscar Isaac

While I’m surprised the musical part has been kept somewhat hidden from the trailers, the fact that more than one of these songs appears in my iPod has me excited and intrigued.

So - will Sucker Punch be a genre-busting classic? Or will it fall flat on it’s face? We’ll find out in three weeks - it hits theaters on March 25th.
