Apparently for Fox, 3 Seth MacFarlane cartoons (Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show), The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers and the forthcoming Allen Gregory and Napoleon Dynamite aren’t enough.

Just announced by the folks over at Deadline.com, Seth MacFarlane will be helming a reboot of The Flinstones.

Details are sketchy, aside from it being a project from both 20th Century Fox Television and Warner Bros Television, but the relaunched version of the caveman cartoon will be airing on Fox, whenever it’s scheduled to debut.

Personally, I think this is one project too many for MacFarlane, and I don’t see the need for a modern reboot, but if it’s a dream project for Seth, there must be some juice behind it.

Either way, I fully expect some terribly awful things to be said by Fred and Wilma.
