Here’s a combination pleasing to my nerd brain!

Guillermo Del Toro’s next big movie, Pacific Rim, his ode to giant monster/Kaiju films is about to get into production for a 2013 release.

One of the cast members might just surprise you.

In talks to play a professor is Charlie Day (no relation, unfortunately), better known as It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s “wildcard”, Charlie Kelly.

It’s a unique combination to be sure, but one that has me VERY excited.

Here’s hoping we find out more Pacific Rim information soon!
