I never thought I’d say this, but I’m really looking forward to a movie about someone dealing with cancer.

50/50 is due to hit this fall, and is all about how the lead (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who is quickly becoming an actor who I follow to any film) deals with his diagnosis of terminal cancer.  But it’s certainly not your normal cancer based film, that’s for sure.

Looks REALLY good, and not super depressing, right?

While I think I prefer the film’s original title, I’m With Cancer, this certainly looks to be a unique and somewhat upbeat look at what can be one of life’s hardest moments.

50/50 hits theaters on September 30, 2011.
