While we’ve already seen one unofficial poster for The Avengers thanks to a licensing expo, this weekend Marvel Studios and Disney are starting the proper push for the film at San Diego Comic Con.

The first true teaser poster for the film is being distributed at the con (image above, of course), and in that same regard, the official website for the film has launched.

I do wonder when we’ll see a teaser trailer for that film. I mean, it’s not like they’d be so crazy to tack it onto the end of Captain America: The First Avenger this weekend, WOULD THEY!?

The Avengers hits theaters on May 4th, 2012. Really. Crazy, isn’t it?
