Just Like Being There (Promo) from Johanna Goldstein on Vimeo.

These days, as my blog (and many others) have showcased, one of the biggest movement in the arts is the resurgence of the screenprinted gig poster.

Whether a limited edition run for concerns or high quality prints for movies (a’la Mondo), this has grown to be quite the unique industry, giving amazing artists a way to showcase their talent in images that last a lifetime.

And now, filmmakers Scout Shannon and Johanna Goldstein are documenting this movement in a film to be titled Just Like Being There.

Following many artists who’s work I truly enjoy, such as Kevin Tong  and Daniel Danger, this film will not only catalog the work, but the lasting impression these posters have on the audience.

I’ve embedded a trailer above, but below, I have linked their IndieGoGo page, where you can donate money to this project and get some awesome goodies for supporting a sure to be amazing documentary.

Check it out, I’m sure you’ll end up as excited about this project as I am.
