This Christmas movie season is absolutely stacked.

Over a period of one week, you will have David Fincher’s Girl with a Dragon Tattoo remake, Spielberg & Jackson’s Adventures of Tintin, Brad Bird’s Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol (more on that in my next post) and last but far from least, the sequel to 2009’s Robert Downey Jr. Victorian romp, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

I had an absolute blast with the first Holmes film, and this one looks to be just as fun, adding current it girl Noomi Rapace to the cast, and giving Sherlock fans a proper Moriarty in Jared Harris from Mad Men, but more than that, the script seems witty and action packed, as showcased in the latest trailer (above).

It looks like a grand time, now I just need to find the time and money to see four movies in the theater…unless I get comped review passes for them…

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows hits theaters on December 16th, 2011.
