The always astounding crew at Mondo continues to grab some very interesting and unique licenses. Over Thanksgiving, they premiered their first posters from Adventure Time and the DC Comics library. They continue to work with Disney. And of course, they make posters of the greatest cult films in the world.

That said, I don’t think I expected them to work with ABC on making prints for the show Once Upon A Time. But now that I see them, I get it.

Once Upon A Time, for those unawares, is a new show where the world of fairy tales interacts with the real world. Mondo, smartly, is using this to allow their roster of talented artists to create prints based on classic fairy tales. The first is by one of my favorites, Mr. Kevin Tong, and is a BEAUTIFUL rendition of Rapunzel.

The regular edition, printed in silver (ooh…) and posted at the top is limited to a run of 220 prints, and will run for $40. The special edition, in Gold (ahh…), posted below, is a run of just 95 pieces, for $65 each.

These prints go on sale tomorrow, so as always, watch Mondo’s Twitter feed. Future installments include Little Red Cap, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Rumpelstiltskin, and Cinderella. I can’t wait to see what they do with them!
