Hands down, one of my favorite movies of 2011 was Drive. Stylish, brutal, great soundtrack, amazing cast - it fired on all cylinders. What you may not have noticed, however, is it was based on a 2005 novel of the same name by James Sallis.

Well, it appears that the popularity and success of Drive inspired Sallis, as this April comes the release of the sequel - Driven.

The synopsis is short but sweet, but should be enough to hook you - I know it hooked me.

“Six years later - Phoenix. Out of nowhere someone wants Driver dead. Who? Why? Big mistake..."
No word on whether this will lead to a film sequel, but given the cult following Drive has behind it, I could see one put together. I'll say this though, anyone else but Refn behind the camera and Gossling in front of it, I'm out.
