It’s been a while since I’ve written a post on it, but I’m always intensely amused by how the Japanese arms of American fast food franchises edit their menu for local tastes. Sometimes you have gastronomic nightmares, sometimes you have things that sound downright delicious. This latest mixture of new items coming to Burger King Japan seem to split the uprights.

First, we have the BK Ringo, debuting on March 9th.  The Ringo is a Whopper covered with cheese, lettuce, mayo, honey mustard and....a cinnamon flavored apple slice.  I have a hunch that without the Mayo, it'd be really really tasty. Might need to try making a version at home.

The next new item can be seen at the bottom of this image, as we have the Double Pork BBQ, two pork patties thrown together on a sammach. The McRib it is not.

Finally, the reason for the title of this post - the NY Sundaes! Your standard soft serve covered with chocolate or raspberry sauce, over top...yes. French Toast Sticks. THE OFFICIAL FOOD OF NEW YORK!

Lets hope these crazy sundaes make their way to the US. The rest? Yeah, you can keep them, Japan.
