So, chances are, if you've been on the web the past few days, you might have seen some adorable cartoons featuring a young Luke Skywalker with his pappy Darth Vader.

It’s the warm and fuzzy side of Anakin Skywalker: Father, which we never got to see in the Prequel Trilogy.

Sadly, most of the images I’ve seen haven’t given proper credit - some even with a damn watermark for 9Gag or whatever that stupid site is called.

Turns out they’re from a really great looking book called Darth Vader and Son, generated from the talented pen of indie comics legend Jeffrey Brown.

The book is due to hit shelves next Wednesday, April 18th, 2012, and here is the official blurb.

What if Darth Vader took an active role in raising his son? What if "Luke, I am your father" was just a stern admonishment from an annoyed dad? In this hilarious and sweet comic reimagining, Darth Vader is a dad like any other-except with all the baggage of being the Dark Lord of the Sith. Celebrated artist Jeffrey Brown's delightful illustrations give classic Star Wars® moments a fresh twist, presenting the trials and joys of parenting through the lens of a galaxy far, far away. Life lessons include lightsaber batting practice, using the Force to raid the cookie jar, Take Your Child to Work Day on the Death Star ("Er, he looks just like you, Lord Vader!"), and the special bond shared between any father and son.
The cover not enough? Here's a peak at a few interior pages.

Darth Vader and Son runs 64 pages, and can be pre-ordered at Amazon.com right now, for just shy over $10. Consider it an awesome geeky Father's Day gift, or well, just a cool book worth buying.
