I’ve long been a fan of Wes Anderson, and clearly, he remains a filmmaker with a dedicated following. I’m quite looking forward to Moonrise Kingdom later this month, but in the meantime, great movie theaters like the historic Castro Theatre in San Francisco do specialty screenings of his films.

Over the weekend, they did a double feature screening of two of his best, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and The Royal Tenenbaums, and to commemorate the screening, they employed Sam Smith to put together two prints.

Smith also has done some amazing work for the Criterion collection (including the cover for Japanese Horror favorite House), and he’s even played drums for Ben Folds.  In short, Sam Smith is another artist who is on my radar.
