As premiered last night during the season premiere of America’s Got Talent (one of the few reality TV shows I don’t find completely useless, although I don’t watch it myself), Sony Pictures has released a four minute long “super trailer” for The Amazing Spider-Man.

With this being the longest and most detailed look at the film so far for those of us not at San Diego Comic Con or any number of press events, I again find myself saying that surprisingly, this looks great!  I really think Marc Webb has stepped his game up here, and with Andrew Garfield fitting so easily into the role of Peter Parker, odds are good that this will end up being a pretty damn good Spider-Man flick.

Sure, the Lizard design isn’t everything we want, but there’s a heart and character to this film which is just pure Spidey.  I really think this will end up surprising many of the nay sayers.

The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters on July 3rd, 2012.
