On July 20th, The Dark Knight Rises finally hits theaters, bringing together seven years of hard work and amazing storytelling from Christopher Nolan, as he reinvented the Batman saga for a new generation.

On July 19th, however, AMC Theaters is looking to repeat the success of their Marvel Movie Marathon leading up to The Avengers with a Dark Knight Marathon.

You’ll be able to pay one admission and see Batman Begins followed by The Dark Knight and finally at midnight, the third and final installment, The Dark Knight Rises.

Tickets will go on sale on AMC’s website (linked in the source) on June 11th at 12PM Eastern.  I’d imagine other theater chains will be looking into doing a similar promotion.

What’s nice, however, is unlike the Marvel Marathon, those of us with day jobs may not need to take the day off for the marathon. Combined, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight run about 5 hours, so I could see the marathon starting at 6pm. No official word on the start time yet, but it’s a good chance you can work and then head to the theater!

Speaking of run times - The Dark Knight Rises has been confirmed to run 2hrs and 45 mins.
