For a few years now, Dreamworks Animation has been working on a big-screen computer animated adaptation of Mr. Peabody and Sherman, the cartoon from the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show featuring a boy and his super smart dog, who traveled through time and went on other adventures.  For a while there, it looked like Robert Downey Jr. was going to be Mr. Peabody, but I assume his schedule finally caught hold of him.

In Spring 2014, the movie will finally be released, with Modern Family’s Ty Burrell voicing Peabody, and thanks to the folks at Collider.com, we have our first look at how the canine and kid duo will look in 3D.  Lookin' pretty snazzy, in my eyes.

Mr. Peabody and Sherman will hit theaters on March 14th, 2014.
