For video game fans, the working relationship between comics publisher UDON and gaming company Capcom has been an embarrassment of riches for both sides.

UDON has been able to do such amazing projects as recreating the designs and artwork for games like Super Street Fighter II HD, and for Capcom fans, we’ve been able to get US translations of amazing art books for titles like Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, and Mega Man amongst others.

Now, in a combination no one saw coming, this summer, we get a look at the greatest crossover of all time in Marvel vs. Capcom: Official Complete Works.

This 192 page art book takes fans throughout the entire Marvel/Capcom relationship, starting with the Punisher arcade game and through last year’s release of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.  You get hundreds of pieces of original art from both US and Japanese talent, most of which has never seen publication before.

It should come as no surprise that the book will debut at San Diego Comic Con in a limited edition hardcover, but there will be a full retail softcover release in November of this year.

The hardcover will be going for $100, but the softcover is just $45, even less if you pre-order from Amazon.com today.
