With sneakers being inspired by the worlds of comics and movies, it should come as no surprise that in the land of the rising sun, we’re now seeing shoes based on popular anime and manga.

The shoes of which I write about today are coming from a new project from Reebok, where they celebrate the legendary series Ghost in the Shell with a limited edition series of kicks.  These sneakers are designed to look like the classic Tachikoma robots which are a long loved part of the Shirow created series.

Created alongside the figure making experts at Megahouse, these shoes will be available in July, but (in something that shouldn’t come as a surprise) are going to cost you. They’re going to run you about $236 US dollars.
