All writers can pretty much agree that they have their writing tics. Certain turns of phrase which just get repeated day in and day out, they’re just the things that we’re most comfortable with repeating.

However, few writers are as analyzed as Aaron Sorkin, the incredibly verbose writer who has given us TV shows such as Sports Night and The West Wing, movies like A Few Good Men and The Social Network and is back in the spotlight with his excellent new HBO show The Newsroom.  I’ve gone at length about how much I love his work, even if it has its repetitive aspects or character traits.

Some rather ambitious Sorkinite has decided to look through his library of work and compile a video of these repeated moments. Enjoy.

Thanks for the heads up, Ross!
