The pop-culture print perfectionists at Mondo have truly done it again.

Fans wondered if there was anything left that Mondo could do to surprise them.  They did Star Wars. Back to the Future. Jurassic Park. Pixar. Studio Ghibli. Countless others.

What was left? Batman perhaps? Perhaps.

But what about the biggest fantasy trilogy of all time?

Tonight, as a part of the latest Mondo Mystery Movie screening, they revealed a brand new print to go along with the mystery film - The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

And holy hell, what a beautiful print it is.  Artist Aaron Horkey designed this bizarrely shaped but richly detailed 19.25"x39" print, which was exclusive to tonight’s screening.  A run of 260 prints was complimented with a variant limited to 125 pieces.

Bummed that you missed it? Don’t be. Mondo announced that this is the first of a series of prints, and that all of the films, and multiple artists will be represented across the series.

It’s going to be an expensive rest of the year for Mondo fans, that’s for sure.

Is it too much to ask for prints of The Hobbit already?
