In addition to the Marvel NOW! news and a bunch of photos from The Hobbit, the magazine features a new image from director Guillermo Del Toro’s next big thing, Pacific Rim.

Pacific Rim, his big giant monsters and robots battling flick, features as its heroes a washed up pilot (Sons of Anarchy’s Charlie Hunnam) teamed with a reluctant trainee (Rinko Kikuchi) to pilot the massive robots in the film, called “Jaegers”.

The new image, following the awesome photo of Idris Elba, features our first look at Hunnam and Kikuchi, and looks pretty sweet indeed.

Expect to hear way more about Pacific Rim at SDCC. And for some reason, I expect a trailer attached to The Dark Knight Rises (I’ve heard nothing to this, it’s just a hunch).

Pacific Rim is set to hit theaters on July 12th, 2013.
