This past weekend was home to the gigantic, international fighting game tournament known as EVO.  That would be the appropriate place to showcase a big name, forthcoming fighting game, right?

Well, the team at NetherRealm certainly thought so, as they (along with IGN) did an extensive hands on with their new DC comic’s fighter, Injustice: Gods Amongst Us.

All 15 minutes of the coverage made their way to the web, and you can see how the game (built on a modified Mortal Kombat engine) takes the iconic heroes and makes you feel every punch, kick, slap, slam and super move.

Injustice: Gods Amongst Us is set for release in 2013.
