One of the biggest movies for Warner Bros in Summer 2013 (besides Pacific Rim of course) is the Zach Snyder directed, Christopher Nolan produced reboot of the Superman franchise - Man of Steel.

A trailer was premiered for the film at SDCC 2012 (a shorter version of which will be attached to The Dark Knight Rises on Friday), but for all of fan’s consumption, the first true teaser poster was revealed.

It’s a hard closeup on Henry Cavill’s version of Kal-El, and focuses deep on the detail of the new Superman suit, which looks less ribbed, and more like some sort of alien chainmail.  Interesting that they’re obscuring Cavill’s face in the poster. Sure, it could just be to put the emphasis on the symbol, but it’s a surprise that the British-born actor is being obscured.

Man of Steel is due to hit theaters on June 14th, 2013.
