If you are the type that judges a book by it’s cover, then you are probably the type that judges a movie by it’s poster.

And over the decades, even now, in the era of independent movie poster producers like Mondo, there is no more iconic artist than Drew Struzan.

Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, countless others…the man designed the imagery which gave birth to the modern movie blockbuster, and now, a documentary is looking back on his career - Drew: The Man Behind The Poster.

Two Christmas’s back, I received a great book looking back at some of his best and most iconic posters, and now, I can’t wait to see the stories behind them all, with appearances from such Hollywood luminaries as Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Frank Darabont and Guillermo Del Toro.

There’s no set release date for Drew: The Man Behind The Poster, but you can bet that as soon as there is, I will be chomping at the bit to see it.
