As we get closer to the release of the 3D film return of the Judge Dredd comic franchise, Lionsgate Pictures wants to make sure that we drop all our plans next month and go see the new film, Dredd.

And honestly, it looks pretty great (even if it stole the plot of The Raid), and buzz coming off of the SDCC screening was so positive that I feel indebted to see the damn thing.

That said, when looking at the new poster, which is kinda badass, I couldn’t help but be reminded of another…

…I sure hope that’s not a bad sign.
