When obvious fan art mashups come to mind, a mixture of the late 90’s Japanese animated classic Cowboy Bebop and French techno masters Daft Punk isn’t exactly the first thing which pops in my head.

However, serving as one of the people in the middle of the venn diagram of those who are fans of each, when I saw artist DoomCMYK’s latest print “3 2 1 Let’s Jam”, my brain melted in a good way.

Unlike so many of the half hearted mashups which permeate the daily t-shirt sites, this is an example of an artist understanding the appeal of both visually, and mixing them together to make something wonderfully unique.

Should your eyes be popping out of your head much like how mine are, you can buy a copy of the print (limited to a run of 30, 18"x24") right now on Etsy.

While you’re there, check out the rest of DoomCMYK’s store, there’s some great stuff, including this great Kawaii Batman print, and if you use the code CMYK30, you’ll get 30% off your purchase!

And now, since I’ve mentioned Cowboy Bebop, I’m legally required to post this YouTube video.
