While I’m still not sure if it deserved the Best Picture Oscar, I cannot deny how overall great The Hurt Locker was. An absolute barn burner of a film, directed by Kathryn Bigelow, it did an amazing job of showcasing the difficult times found during the Iraq occupation.

This December, Bigelow is shining a light at another of the US’s most recent international conflicts, the hunt for Osama Bin Laden with the new film Zero Dark Thirty.

The first trailer has recently been revealed, so we just had to showcase it here.

Featuring a hell of a cast, including Kyle Chandler, Jessica Chastain and Mark Strong amongst others, this is another of the big Oscar level releases this Christmas. Based on the trailer, I’ll be checking it out for sure.

Zero Dark Thirty hits theaters on December 19th, 2012.
