Growing up, there were few things I enjoyed more than the 1966 Batman TV series.  And now, as an adult, I can appreciate it on a whole different level.  From the campy writing to the fun acting, from the amazing costumes and the true-blue “funny book” feel, it’s a truly distilled version of the comic book aesthetic in a television format.

Well, now it’s been met along with beautiful graphic design in something called The Batman ‘66 Project.

Designed by Dylan Todd, he’s mixed stills from the classic series with a modern graphic design eye, resulting in beautiful jpgs perfect for admiring on the project’s tumblr (linked below), on your desktop, or as your phone/tablet’s background. It’s really lovely stuff, and a great celebration of a great show.  Go check it out now!
