Developed by the team who brought us Mortal Kombat, one of the most anticipated games for 2013 has to be Injustice: Gods Among Us.

A fighting game pitting the titans of the DC Comics universe against each other in one on one combat, we’ve been pretty excited about the game here (even if some of the character designs are kinda wonky). With a few months until the release, Warner Bros. Interactive and NetherRealm Studios have been slowly revealing the cast of playable characters, and have just announced that Green Arrow will be joining the cast.

Appropriately, the announcement comes as Arrow is about to premiÁ¨re on The CW, a sort of Smallville for the character.  It’s an intense bout of corporate synergy, as Warner Bros. owns The CW, is producing Arrow, owns the company developing Injustice and also owns Entertainment Weekly, who scored the exclusive character reveal.

Oliver Queen is the 10th character announced for the title, who’s cast includes icons such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, along some oddball choices like Cyborg and Solomon Grundy.

Injustice: Gods Among Us is due to hit for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U in April 2013.
