What goes around comes around.

After being replaced with Brett Ratner for the end of the X-Men trilogy, the critically panned X-Men: The Last Stand, Bryan Singer will be returning behind the camera for the sequel to 2011’s X-Men: First Class, X-Men: Days of Future Past.

It’s been an interesting journey for the First Class sequel - originally, First Class director Matthew Vaughn was to return, but he will instead be replacing Singer as the producer for the movie.

X-Men: Days of Future Past is based on the classic 1980’s comic series, and if rumors hold true, will mix together the First Class cast with the cast of the original Singer series.

X-Men: Days of Future Past will hit theaters on July 18th, 2014
