Straight from the horse’s mouth, Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto V, the latest in their open-world cops and robbers saga, will launch in Spring 2013.

Set for release for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Rockstar did not announce an exact release date, but said that pre-orders would be available starting November 5th, 2012.

This game promises to be huge, with the developers promising “the largest and most thriving game-world [they] have ever created.”

Color us giddy.
