According to sources close to the Hollywood insider newspaper Variety, Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained, Ray) is in talks to star in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as the lead villain, Electro.

While I can’t say Foxx is my first pick to take the role, he’s certainly built a hell of an acting resume over the past decade, and given how damn good he looks to be in Django Unchained, I could see this working out well.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2nd, 2014.
