For the Evil Dead remake, it has a pretty hefty history of its shoulders.  Not only does it have to actually turn out to be a good movie, but it also has to live up to the three decades of fervent fandom the original possesses.

And now, Tri Star Pictures has just thrown the gauntlet down with the new poster.

In a style similar to the posters seen for The Social Network and Thor, the new Evil Dead poster claims that it will be “The Most Terrifying Film You Will Ever Experience.”  The red band trailer previously featured here looked pretty damn awesome - but the most terrifying film ever? Even with the cute as a button Jane Levy?

Gutsy move, marketers. Gutsy move.

Evil Dead hits theaters on April 12th, 2013.
