One of the most enjoyable reads of 2012 for me was the whimsical and joyful Darth Vader and Son.

Written and drawn by Jeffrey Brown, the book took classic Star Wars villain Darth Vader and put him into all sorts of silly and endearing fatherly moments with his son Luke Skywalker and was a great read for geeks of all ages. It was just the type of book that glued a smile right on your face.

Well, this April, we get a sequel as we finally see Darth handle raising his daughter in Vader’s Little Princess.  That’s right, it’s Daddy-Daughter Day with Vader and Leia.

Here’s the official blurb:

In this irresistibly funny follow-up to the breakout bestseller Darth Vaderâ„¢ and Son, Vader—Sith Lord and leader of the Galactic Empire—now faces the trials, joys, and mood swings of raising his daughter Leia as she grows from a sweet little girl into a rebellious teenager. Smart and funny illustrations by artist Jeffrey Brown give classic Star Wars® moments a twist by bringing these iconic family relations together under one roof. From tea parties to teaching Leia how to fly a TIE fighter, regulating the time she spends talking with friends via R2-D2’s hologram, and making sure Leia doesn’t leave the house wearing only the a skirted metal bikini, Vader’s parenting skills are put hilariously to the test.
Personally, I can't wait! If you still haven't read Darth Vader and Son yet, you can get it now on Amazon.com for less than $8 (it's a great gift for the geek dad in your world). You can also pre-order Vader's Little Princess today.

Vader’s Little Princess will hit shelves in April 2013.
